THE PLAYGROUND THEATRE'S STEPHANIE ANSIN'S NEW ADAPTATION OF LEWIS CARROLL'S CLASSIC FAIRY TALE TO PREMIERE

MARCH 29-APRIL 13 AT THE PLAYGROUND THEATRE MIAMI SHORES 

BELOVED STORY TO CONTINUE WITH APRIL 18-20 RUN AT

MIAMI BEACH'S COLONY THEATER

A bold new production of Lewis Carroll's fairy tale, ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND adapted and directed by Stephanie Ansin, will premiere Saturday, March 29, 7:00pm presented by and at The PlayGround Theatre 9806 NE 2^{nd Avenue, Miami Shores. Previews are March 26-28. Following the Miami Shores run though April 13, the play will travel to Miami Beach's Colony Theater for a three-day run, Friday, April 18-Sunday April 20.}

^{In Ansin's new version co-adapted and designed by Fernando Calzadilla, time, space, and cultures collide as the precocious heroine tackles the challenges of her ever-changing world with the familiar tale unfolding with a tropical twist. María Teresa Alvarado's video and photographic projections create visual representations and interpretations of Alice's journeys through space and time and her experiences of growing and shrinking.}  

^{Included in the ensemble cast of nine are Melissa Almaguer, Linda Bernhard, Edgar Caraballo, Carolina Fonseca, Jeff Keogh, Gonzalo Madurga, Kristen Dawn McCorkell, Marjorie O'Neil-Butler, and Jesús Quintero. Set, costumes, and lighting design are by Calzadilla, with original music and sound designed by Luciano Stazzone.}
