Alice Ripley, Levi Kreis and More Set for SING ALONG Film

The upcoming film SING ALONG stars a 14-year-old boy living in New York City, with Broadway theaters as his backyard.  Deeply introverted and mildly agoraphobic, his love of musicals translate to an overactive imagination, stemmed from his natural creativity.  But it leads to trouble in school and more at home, where his naysayer mother crushes his artistic nature and his dream of being on Broadway himself.

Keeping with the musical theater motif, the film is cast entirely with actors known for their theater work -- Alice Ripley, who won a Tony for her performance in "Next to Normal"; Levi Kreis, who won one for his work in "Million Dollar Quartet"; Uzo Aduba, who was last seen on Broadway in the recent "Godspell" revival; and Myles Erlick, a young actor seen in the 10-time Tony winning "Billy Elliot." 

The original songs have been composed by Ron Wasserman, an award-winning composer who has worked on hundreds of commercials and television shows, ranging from "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" to the recent "Hot in Cleveland."

The film was conceived and will be directed by Mark Oxman.  It is slated to begin production in early October, filmed entirely in New York City.
