Inspirational singer and Broadway & TV actress Ali Stroker will live-stream an intimate concert tonight, November 16th, at 8pm at The 3 West Club to benefit the charity Life Rolls On. She will be joined by musical director Ted Arthur on piano.
This is the debut concert for Salons for Change, whose mission is to produce live-stream charity concerts, where everyone can participate, regardless of where you are located or how much you can give. An advocate for people with different abilities, Stroker is excited to partner with Salons for Change to support Life Rolls on, which provides free epic sports events for people with disabilities. 100% of the monies raised will go to Life Rolls On.
"Life Rolls On is a powerful resource for people living with disabilities. This foundation not only creates opportunities like surfing and skating for someone with a disability, they provide a place to create community and support at their events. My first LRO event where I surfed for the first time changed my life," Stroker said.
Last year, Stroker made her Broadway debut in the critically acclaimed & Tony Award-nominated revival of Spring Awakening, also performing with the cast of the show on this year's Tony Awards telecast. She also guest-starred on Season 4 of the Emmy Award-winning FOX show Glee and appeared as a finalist on the TV reality show competition The Glee Project. Stroker was the first-ever performer in a wheelchair to appear in a Broadway show (and also The Tony Awards).
This is the first-ever charity concert for Salons for Change, which was founded by music-lover Jessica Lipps, who wanted to find a way to give back through her passion. They are thrilled to help democratize charity concerts by providing the live-stream component for music enthusiasts. With just the click of a button, viewers can see a show in a café or on their couch and participate in a global movement for good, whether they are learning more about the charity or giving $1 or $100.
Salons for Change will also be partnering with Mogul to live-stream the concert. Mogul is an award-winning platform connecting 18 million women worldwide to trending stories, products and jobs.

More about Salons for Change:
• We are huge music fans who believe in giving back and wanted to find a way to combine these passions.
• We want to create charity concerts where everyone can participate, regardless of how much you can contribute.
• We believe in the mantra, 'One person can only do so much, but together we can achieve anything!'
• We wanted to be inspired by artists' passion for a cause. So, we're asking them to choose and perform for their favorite charities.
• While we love any concerts, our favorites are small concerts. Where it is up close and personal. Where the artist gets real. Where it's unscripted, live and in the moment.
