As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Alexa Ray Joel, the 28-year-old singer/songwriter and daughter of Billy Joel andChristie Brinkley, collapsed onstage during her final performance of her run at New York's Café Carlyle on April 14.
The singer was two songs into her show when she collapsed and was rushed to the New York Presbyterian Hospital emergency room, where doctors said her fainting spell was caused by vasovagal syncope, which causes a reduced blood flow to the brain. The condition is harmless, according to reports.
Today, the New York Post reports that Joel will make a triumphant return on June 24 and play at the iconic venue through June 28.
