Alex Ko: From Iowa to Broadway, My Billy Elliot Story, the celebrated debut by Alex Ko that was endorsed by Sir Elton John, was released last week from HarperCollins Children's Books. The memoir (and e-book edition) is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and wherever books are sold.

Rosie's Theater Kids and the Professional Children's School just celebrated the release of the book with a Q&A and book signing with the author, Alex Ko.

To kick off a general public release of the memoir, Barnes and Noble (corner of 82nd Street and Broadway, NYC) will host a Q&A and book signing with Alex Ko on May 9th at 5:30 PM. The event will also benefit The Calhoun School. Moderating the Q&A will be Stephen Daldry, the Tony Award winning Director of Billy Elliot the Musical.

Already earning rave reviews from critics and celebrities alike, Alex Ko: From Iowa to Broadway, My Billy Elliot Story will give readers an inside look into the world of making it on Broadway in a hit show. On writing his memoir, Ko says: "It felt kind of normal, then I realized it's really great to get to do what you love to do everyday. Many people have told me that I'm really lucky to have gotten the part, so I wrote this book to tell people what it was like to get here and to never give up on their dreams." Ultimately, Alex Ko: From Iowa to Broadway, My Billy Elliot Story is for Glee, High School Musical, and Smash lovers and anyone who dares to dream big."
