Adele to Write a Musical to Complete the EGOT?

Adele is one step closer to the the sought-after EGOT, after winning an Academy Award last night for 'Skyfall'. According to Vulture, in the Oscar press room she was asked how she planned to earn the other two awards, she responded: "Maybe I'll do an HBO special like Beyoncé did. And a Tony, I'm not so sure. Maybe someday I'll do a musical."

Adele has recently been out of the spotlight for the good part of a year; in June 2012, she announced that she was pregnant with boyfriend Simon Koneck's child. She gave birth to a boy in October.

The success of Adele's albums has earned her numerous records in the Guinness Book of World Records. She became the first artist in history to lead the Billboard 200 concurrently with three Billboard Hot 100 number ones. Adele is also the first female artist to have three singles in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, and the first female artist to have two albums, "19" and "21" in the top five of the Billboard 200 and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously.
