Adam Pascal Responds to SPIDER-MAN Controversy

Pascal_Responds_to_SPIDERMAN_Controversy_20010101

It seems that Broadway's Adam Pascal has a lot to say about the constroversy surrounding the much talked about SPIDER-MAN injuries. Pascal took to his Facebook page to vent his concerns about the show, and while his original stance seemed a bit harsh, he was quick to clarify.  Pascal's posts are listed chronologically below.

I have to weigh in on Spiderman. They should put Julie Taymor in Jail for assault! I know what its like to fall and get hurt in front of 2000 people. It's no fun, but at least it was the one time it happened. I hope whoever was hurt is ok and sues the shit out of Julie, Bono, Edge and every other asshole who invested in that steaming pile of actor crippling shit!

I think some of you missed the intended humor in my post, although my anger is real, I don't think anyone should sue Bono and the Edge you dummy! Or put Julie Taymor in jail you double dummy. I was making a point.

Oh My freaking god I just read for the 5th time that Im calling for Julie Taymor to be arrested. Holy Shit I was Kidding you Morons!!! Shes obviously insane, but who the fuck isn't in this business. Unfortunately someone gave her 65mil. to show the world how insane she is.

I seem to have pissed a lot of people off. Let me clarify, again, I dont think Julie should be arrested or Bono should be sued. Jeeezusss it was a joke. But my public apology is for my wife whom I once again embarrassed beyond belief. Sorry honey...

In 1996, Adam tried out for the then unknown, off-Broadway production of Rent and he famously landed the role of Roger Davis. Adam was nominated for a 1996 Tony Award as Best Actor (Musical), and won a Drama League and Obie award for his performance as Roger. The show went on to become a worldwide success and one of the longest running shows in Broadway history. His other Broadway credits include the role of Radames in Elton John and Tim Rice's musical Aida, for which he received a Drama League award and as Emcee in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of Cabaret at Studio 54. Adam co-starred with Josh Groban and Idina Menzel in the Tim Rice/Abba musical Chess at The Royal Albert Hall, in London. He is currently developing a musical for Broadway based on the concept album Operation Mindcrime, by the progressive rock band Queensryche.

In film, Adam appeared along side Jack Black, in School of Rock and, of course reprised the role of Roger in the 2005 movie version of Rent and helped bring a new generation of fans to the Broadway show and its music. Adam's journey with Rent finally came to its conclusion when in 2009, he reprised the role one last time alongside Anthony Rapp, in "Rent The Broadway Tour", which traveled all over the U.S. as well as Japan and South Korea.

Adam's latest CD entitled Blinding Light is currently in release and he has two films currently in release, Falling Star and American Primitive.
