Aaron Ramey, Brad Badd Lead MHTP's Our Time II Concert At The Duplex 3/12

Musically Human Theatre Productions (MHTP) has announced that the second concert in their "Our Time" series, featuring songs by the next generation of theater composers, will be held on Monday, March 12, at 9:30 p.m. at The Duplex, located at 61 Christopher Street in Manhattan. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The March 12th concert will be directed by MHTP Artistic Director David Norwood and feature songs by Adam Gwon ("The Boy Detective Fails"), Bobby Cronin (Broadway-aimed "Welcome to My Life"), Charles Bloom ("Insomnia"), Ian Zahren and Jennifer Wine, Will Reynolds ("The Greenwood Tree"), and Zak Sandler and Greg Edwards ("Split Decision"). The concert will also feature a preview of Matt Conner and Stephen Gregory Smith's "NightoftheLivingDead The Musical", which MHTP will mount a full production of May 31-June 17, 2012. The concert cast includes Aaron Ramey ("Curtains"), Alison Lea Bender, Angelo Rios, Brad Bass ("Jersey Boys"), Carrie A. Johnson ("Sister Act"), Douglas Lyons ("Book of Mormon"), Gerard Canonico ("American Idiot"), Jennifer DiNoia ("Wicked"), Jenn Furman ("Wicked" national tour), John Wascavage, Justin Lonesome, LaQuet Sharnell ("Lysistrata Jones"), Lauren Elder ("Hair"), Lindsay Lavin, Paul Sabala, Samuel Brooks, and Vincent Rodriguez III ("Xanadu").

MHTP aims to engage, inspire, entertain and challenge audiences with provocative, alternative, socially relevant works of musical theatre-theatre that dares to explore politics, race, violence, drugs, sexuality, religion and other contemporary issues. MHTP nurtures and promotes the rising generation of theatre artists, provides arts education programs to diverse communities, and celebrates the essential power of musical theatre to illuminate our shared humanity.
