A CHRISTMAS CAROL Cancels December Engagement at the Civic Opera House

By:

The producers of "A Christmas Carol" have announced that the engagement at the Civic Opera House has been cancelled. The full ticket price and convenience charge (if applicable), will be automatically refunded to credit cards. For tickets purchased in cash, refunds are available directly through the box office.

So, what went wrong?  While no official report has been issues, the production seemed plagued by the start after reports that stars Stockard Channing and Timothy Hutton would topline the prodution were retracted.  Additionally, reports The Chicago Sun Times, " Stockard Channing and Timothy Hutton, denied having contracts. And Kevin Von Feldt, the show's lead producer, adapter and director, was dogged by reports of non-payment problems with a Los Angeles production of the same show last year."
