Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced today that a limited number of student rush tickets will be available for all performances of Asuncion, a new comedy by Academy Award-nominee Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) which begins previews tonight at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). The official opening night is Thursday, October 27. The production is scheduled to run through November 27. Kip Fagan directs.

In a statement, David Van Asselt, Rattlestick's Artistic Director said "Asuncion is a biting commentary on contemporary college life, and we want to make sure students have an opportunity to see it." Students (with valid ID) may purchase $20 tickets (limited to 2) in person at the Cherry Lane Theatre box office (38 Commerce Street) 45 minutes prior to each performance. Tickets are based on availability on a first come, first served basis.

The cast includes Mr. Eisenberg, Remy Auberjonois (The Country Girl, Frost/Nixon), Justin Bartha (Lend Me A Tenor, The Hangover 1 & 2) and Camille Mana (Smart People, "One on One"), making her Off-Broadway debut in the title role.

In Asuncion, two sheltered young men are forced to confront their ignorance when a young Filipino woman becomes their new roommate.

Asuncion will have the following performance schedule: Tuesday - Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm and Sunday at 3pm.
