A.C.T. Announces That They Have Exceeded Their 2009-10 Subscription Goal

By:

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced that it has exceeded its 2009-10 season subscription goal of $3.165 million last week. "We are thrilled to be able to make the first financial goal of the season well ahead of schedule," said Janette Andrawes, A.C.T.'s Director of Marketing and Public Relations. "I believe that this is a great indication that the fantastic offerings of our 2009-10 season speak to Bay Area audiences and we are thankful to our community for continuing to patron and support the arts."

The benchmark was reached well in advance of 2009-10 season single tickets going on sale on Sunday, August 9, 2009. The A.C.T. Ticket Services will also be open on Monday, August 10, 2009, to meet demand. Early purchasing is encouraged for best seats, as orchestra seats are limited due to heavy subscriber seating. A.C.T. continues to offer one of the best deals in entertainment in the Bay Area with seats available for certain performances for as low as $14. For a full listing of events and pricing, and to purchase tickets, please visit the A.C.T. website at www.act-sf.org. A.C.T. Ticket Services are available by phone at 415.749.2228 and will open on August 9 at 12 p.m.

Subscribers will get a chance to exchange their tickets and purchase additional tickets during Subscriber Week, August 3-8, 2009. Subscribers also receive the best savings and seating along with exclusive subscription benefits, such as free ticket exchanges.

A.C.T.'s offerings for the 2009-10 season include:

* England's acclaimed Kneehigh Theatre's award-winning production of Noël Coward's Brief Encounter (September 11-October 4, 2009)

* The West Coast premiere of David Mamet's hilarious political farce November (October 23-November 15, 2009)
