, the Andersson and Ulvaeus news site is reporting that the English version of Kristina från Duvemåla, Kristina, will, according to an interview with Benny Andersson on the internet station Sirius Radio, be presented in concert form on September 23rd and 24th 2009 at Carnegie Hall.
The show, which has had a hugely successful run in Sweden, is based on Wilhelm Moberg's novel "The Emigrents." It has been adapted into English by Herbert Kretzmer.
Andersson and Ulvaeus' other theatre scores include Chess and of course the mega hit Mamma Mia! which continues to fill the Winter Garden Theatre, where it opened in October 2001. The movie version has become a true phenomenon.
