The 6th Annual Concierge Choice Awards were announced by The New York City Association of Hotel Concierges on October 1 at The Loeb Boathouse in Central Park. These awards were established in 2007 to recognize companies, organizations, and individuals who create exceptional experiences for New York City visitors. Selected by the New York City Association of Hotel Concierges (NYCAHC), these prestigious awards are bestowed upon the city's elite in the tourist, theater, restaurant, retail, service, and transportation industries.
The annual awards dinner is hosted by Davler Media Group, publisher of City Guide and Promenade magazines, the largest circulation and oldest visitor magazines, respectively, in New York City. The event was filled to capacity with over 300 attendees, including over 200 industry executives and 80 concierges. Dave Price, co-host of Good Day New York on Fox 5, emceed the awards ceremony, introducing the 32 concierges who were the presenters for the 16 awards. The entertainment was provided by "A Christmas Story: The Musical." A portion of the proceeds for the evening were contributed to the Les Clefs d'Or Relief Fund and the NYCAHC Charitable Fund, both of which support retired concierges.
Loida Diaz, President of the New York City Association of Hotel Concierges, commented, "We are so pleased to team up with Davler Media Group to recognize the institutions and individuals who give our hotel guests outstanding visitor experiences. As an industry we are proud of our contributions that support New York City's tourism industry, which welcomes over 50 million people annually."
