42nd Street Moon's TICKET TO THE MOON Gala Set for 6/18
42nd Street Moon's 20th anniversary season kicks off on Monday, June 18, 2012 with Ticket to the Moon, a gala evening celebrating Moon's past, present and future. Activities at the Alcazar Theatre on Geary Street begins at 5:30 pm with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by a performance at 7 pm, directed and narrated by Moon's Artistic Director, Greg MacKellan.
Act One is devoted to songs from the past 20 years of Uncommon Musicals - and a sneak peek at what's in store in the 2012–13 Season. Act Two is devoted to the shows and songs yet to come: wonderful songs by Jule Styne, Rodgers and Hart, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Jay Livingston and Ray Evans, Sigmund Romberg, Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, Arthur Schwartz and Howard Dietz.Ticket to the Moon will be a veritable Moonie onstage reunion, with directors Greg MacKellan and Stephanie Rhoads; Music Directors Dave Dobrusky and BranDon Adams; and performers Caroline Altman, Noel Anthony, Debbie de Coudreaux, Annie Donahey, Bill Fahrner, Michael Patrick Gaffney, Juliet Heller, Alexandra Kaprielian, Anil Margsahayam, Dyan McBride, Darlene Popovic, Steve Rhyne and Rena Wilson.
