2 Ring Circus to Present GRAVITY: A VINTAGE AFFAIR at 45th Street Theatre, 1/13 & 14

"Gravity: A Vintage Affair" is a contemporary circus showcase based on what we defy each and every time we perform: Gravity. The 2 Ring Circus' show will play the 45th Street Theatre in Manhattan on January 13 and 14, 2013.

The show begins with an apple falling from above a la Sir Isaac Newton, and continues with a lovely aerialist floating in the air on her draped silk. The company has layered the ideas and concepts surrounding gravity with the music styles of the 30′s and 40′s to create a classic vintage salute. To create a contemporary vibe , the 2 Ring Circus have re-mixed those classic sounds to blend the contemporary with the past and arrive with "Gravity: A Vintage Affair". The five cast members perform on a variety of circus apparatus from the spectacular silks to a spinning Rope and Hoop. The combination of graceful execution of acrobatic skills and a hip yet classic soundtrack brings a contemporary spin to the classic circus' of the past.

Created by 2 Ring Circus Productions, the show stars Joshua Dean, Ben Franklin, Lani Corson, Amy Shure and Kenneth Ziegler.
