A musical and theatrical triumph of ensemble playing, this musical returns to Broadway in 2013, and audiences are lucky to be able to see it here in Albuquerque. The “Pump Boys” sell high octane on Highway 57 in Grand Ole Opry country and the “Dinettes” run the Double Cupp diner next door. An evening of old-style country and western songs, performed on guitars, piano, bass, and kitchen utensils, the show celebrates the value of friendships and life’s simple pleasures.
